STYLE: Rye Beer
ABV: 6.8%
APPEARANCE: Deep crimson with amber highlights. Pretty.
HEAD: Tan, rocky, creamy, and looooooong-lasting.
LACING: Big, thick rings hold steadily on the glass throughout the drink.
NOSE: Few breweries make beers that smell as wonderful as Founders. Their Red Rye is no exception. Spicy rye bread dominates upon first whiff, but a big hit of grapefruit and caramel rounds things out. The faintest touch of noseburn from alcohol hints at the booze in this beauty.
TASTE: Three distinct flavors all play off each other perfectly. Citric, grapefruit hops, sweet, roasted malt, and spicy, peppery rye. It’s a veritable symphony. Beautiful and beautifully balanced.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied with a creamy, not slick mouthfeel.
DRINKABILITY: I’ll take ten.
RATING: 3.5 Hops

It’s a Simpsons joke, Gramps! I figured I had watched enough episodes with you that you would have picked up on it.
